The Colts jumped out to a big lead on Friday night and fought off a late run by North Garland to start the season 1-0 on the road. AHS owned the boards to control the game with 3 Colts recording double digit rebounds. (Henderson 13, Hafer 11 and Slack 10) The Colts played better team ball with 2/3 of their shots coming off of assists and held the Raiders to 29% shooting. Arlington High will be back in action Tuesday night as 12th ranked South Grand Prairie comes to AHS.

Game Recap

The Colts had a good showing in a scrimmage against a well coached team in Boswell this afternoon. They played with great energy and ball movement lead by sophomores Jae Slack and Jarquavis Kent with 22 and 19 points respectively. Senior, Ethen Henderson controlled the paint defensively and added 9 points and 2 steals. Arlington High looks to continue to build and grow as the season progresses.

The Lady Colts move back into a tie for 2nd place in District 4-6A with a huge win over Lamar in their home gym last night.

The Colts offense was able to dominate due to the great defensive effort and accuracy of their setting crew, Senior Abbey Clay (10 assists), Sophomore Carmen Lindquist (22 assists) and Freshman Chloe Beard (2 assists). The Colts were led by:
