Congratulations to the AHS Girls Wrestling Team!

Congratulations to Coach Dan Provence and the Arlington Colt Girls Wrestling Team for capturing the 3-6A District Championship!  The Colts will advance to the UIL Region I Tournament this Friday in Birdville.

Olympic Wrestling Watch Party

An Arlington wrestling champion had a disappointing Saturday at the Rio games. Tervel Dlagnev missed his chance at a bronze medal but he had a lot of support along the way. Several dozen students and staff gathered at Arlington High School to watch Dlagnev compete for the bronze medal in the 275 pound weight class.

AHS Wrestlers to Fargo

Four AHS wrestlers qualified and represented Texas at the USA Wrestling Freestyle Nationals in Fargo, North Dakota this summer.  Team Texas consisted of thirty girls from across the entire state.  Six of them wrestled for the Arlington Storm Wrestling Club at Arlington High School. “When I first walked in the arena, I thought “Oh, wow!”.

Jill B. signs with MacMurray

Jill B., a 2016 AHS graduate, signed a letter of intent to wrestle for MacMurray College in Jacksonville, Illinois.  It has been eight years since the last AHS female earned a wrestling scholarship.  As a captain, she helped lead the team to district and regional championships. “I’m super excited.  I can’t wait to go up there.

Asia R.: Arlington Wrestling Phenom

Asia R. has completed her 3rd year in high school with two trips to the Texas State Wrestling Tournament.  She was an undefeated State Champion her sophomore year, and finished 4th her junior year despite wrestling with only one healthy arm and shoulder at the State Tournament. In April, she won the USA-Texas Freestyle State
